2 arrested after firing shots at Waffle House

Police have arrested two men who fired shots at a Waffle House following an attempted robbery on Sunday. Anthony Washington Jr. and Dontay Sowell are charged with discharging a firearm and damage to property.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, two men entered the Waffle House at Stetson Drive demanding money. One suspect fired a shot. The robbers fled without getting money. Police say Washington and Sowell were customers hiding under a table during the robbery. They left after the attempted robbery, and fired shots at the building, police said. No one was injured.
