A 29-year-old man from Texas is accused of running naked in a Lake Norman neighborhood, breaking into cars and fighting with police.

Christopher Michael Plopper of Lufkin, Texas, was arrested Sunday evening on Pamlico Lane in the Harbor Cove subdivision, off Williamson Road in Mooresville.

Police charged Plopper with felony breaking and/or entering, larceny after breaking and/or entering, breaking and/or entering a vehicle, indecent exposure, assault on a government official/employee, resisting a public officer, injury to personal property and attempted breaking and/or entering, court records show.

Plopper was jailed on $25,000 bail and has a court appearance scheduled for Sept. 21. Records also show Plopper was charged with driving while impaired on Aug. 16. His court appearance on that charge is scheduled for Oct. 6.

On Sunday, the first call to police reported a naked man running on Rolling Hills Road in Lakeside Business Park near Brawley School Road, Mooresville Police Major Ron Chilton told the Mooresville Tribune. The call came in at 6:20 p.m. A call 12 minutes later had him on Pamlico Lane, Chilton said.

After police subdued Plopper, Iredell County EMS took him to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center for a medical evaluation, Chilton said. He was then jailed.
