Cornelius stabbings send 2 to the hospital

Two people are in the hospital after early Sunday morning stabbings in Cornelius.

Police say the stabbings happened around 4:30 a.m. on Willow Pond Road.

A man and a woman were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic. Cornelius police on scene say the woman is expected to survive. There has not been an update released on the condition of the male victim.
