BBB sponsoring free shredding event
Shred your old tax documents at a free shredding event Saturday sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of the Southern Piedmont.
The event will be 9 a.m.-noon in the Charlotte Latin School parking lot, 9502 Providence Road.
Old tax returns, W-2s, bank statements and other personal documents are a gold mine of personal information for identity thieves, the BBB said in a news release announcing the event.
The limit is four large bags or boxes per car.
