4 charged in shooting of man found dead on a north Charlotte street

Police on Thursday arrested four men in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Abraham Malik Wallace, who was found lying beside a vehicle in the 1400 block of Waddell Street in north Charlotte late Sunday. He was the city’s 78th homicide of the year.

Police on Thursday arrested four men in connection with the fatal shooting of a man found on a north Charlotte street late Sunday.

Abraham Malik Wallace, 22, was found lying beside a vehicle in the 1400 block of Waddell Street. He was Charlotte’s 78th homicide of the year.

Police found Wallace after responding to a report of shots fired at 10:10 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arrested were Dequan Marquis Timmons, 21, Justen O’Neil Howard, 19, and Tyshoine McAfee and Emmanuel Kalani Tucker, both 20.

Timmons, Howard and McAfee were charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Timmons also was charged on an armed robbery fugitive warrant from Chesterfield, S.C. Police charged Tucker with accessory after the fact to murder.
