Police arrested and charged 11 people with driving while impaired at a traffic safety checkpoint in the 800 block of Tyvola Road late Thursday and early Friday.
Officers cited 17 drivers for having no operator’s license and three for driving while license revoked. Two drug charges were issued.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Huntersville police issued a total of 35 charges from 11 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday, Sgt. Jesse Wood of CMPD’s DWI Task Force said.
Police had a mobile breath testing bus on site.
