Several fights broke out a party Friday night, causing $10,000 in damage to the American Legion building in Rock Hill, according to police.

Officers were called to the facility on Heckle Boulevard just before midnight. When police arrived, the building was emptying and the party had been shut down, according to a Rock Hill Police report.

The 72-year-old complainant said several people — both men and women — were fighting when they damaged the rental facility. The suspects listed on the incident report were from Monck Corner, Charlotte and Concord, N.C., and ranged in age from 18- to 22-years-old.

No arrests were made.

The American Legion moved into the new space on Heckle Boulevard last month. The Legion rents facility as a way to make money for local charities.
