Police search for Charlotte man who cut off electronic monitor

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted on outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device, and breaking and entering.

On April 6, Richard McCallum, 52, of Charlotte, was ordered by a judge to wear an electronic monitor during his pretrial release, police said.

On Tuesday, McCallum cut off the monitor and was last seen in the area of 300 E. 16th St., police said.

Anyone with information on McCallum’s whereabouts should immediately call 911.
