Two teens charged in connection to fatal southwest Charlotte shooting
Two teenagers turned themselves in to police and are facing charges in connection to a fatal shooting of another teen in southwest Charlotte.
Police were investigating reports of gunshots Sunday night at a home in the 14400 block of Carolina Forest Road, when they heard additional shots nearby, police said.
Officers found 18-year-old Terale Claridy-Vaught a few blocks away in the roadway on Carolina Forest Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two teenagers, 18-year-olds Jalen Boulware and Marvin Chavez-Quiffaro, turned themselves in to police headquarters Monday, police said.
Boulware was charged with murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied property, while Chavez-Quiffaro was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, police said.
