Police: Men pistol whipped during Mooresville robbery, home invasion
Mooresville police say two men were pistol whipped – and one also shot in the hand – during a robbery and home invasion early Tuesday.
Police say they received a call around 3 a.m. to a home in the 500 block of Pitt Street where they found the injured men. One man was flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and the other was taken to the Lake Norman emergency room.
Officials say robbery was the motive in Tuesday’s incident, and the suspects are believed to have entered through the back door of the home. Money was taken, but officials did not say how much.
Police are searching for two people in connection with the break-in.
Early Tuesday, family members of the men who were hurt were boarding up the area where the robbers entered the home.
