Three teens shot outside north Charlotte home early Tuesday

Three teens were injured in a shooting in north Charlotte early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Russell Avenue just before 1 a.m. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said once officers arrived at the scene, they found three teens who had been shot outside a home.

At least one teen has serious injuries, police say. All three were hospitalized at Carolinas Medical Center.

The extent of their injuries is unknown. Police say witnesses are not cooperating with the investigation so there are little to no details on the alleged shooters. No one has been arrested.
