A Cabarrus County man was arrested Tuesday after he was accused of stabbing his wife, son and mother-in-law.
Cabarrus County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Mt. Pleasant shortly after midnight, according to the sheriff’s office. While en route to the home, officials received a second call alerting them that someone had been stabbed.
When deputies arrived to the home, they were confronted by 47-year-old Christopher Daniel Martin. His wife, Wendy Martin, was inside the home with multiple stab wounds, officials said.
Zachary Martin, the couple’s son, had also been stabbed multiple times in the head, according to officials. Georgia Blake, Wendy Martin’s mother, had multiple stab wounds in the face.
The three victims were taken to local hospitals, but details on their conditions were not provided.
Christopher Martin faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and assault on a handicapped person.
