A woman was killed in Charlotte today. Police have arrested her long-term boyfriend.
A Charlotte woman was shot and killed around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday morning, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have charged her long-term boyfriend with murder.
Shikeither Dinetta Smith, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene on Newcastle Street, off Lasalle Street in north Charlotte, police said.
