Arrest made after man was fatally shot at Holiday Motel in Charlotte, police say
A man was found with a fatal gunshot wound in a motel room Sunday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police announced. A suspect was charged Sunday night with murder.
Justin Fuller, 25, opened the door to a room at the Holiday Motel in the 6000 block of North Tryon Street and was shot, police said.
Officers with CMPD’s Targeted Response and Apprehension Unit, along with officers from the University City Division, arrested Demarco Crawford, 35, and took him into custody. After being interviewed by homicide detectives, Crawford was charged with Fuller’s murder and taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
Police earlier said the two men were apparently involved in an argument at the motel. The suspect left, came back, knocked on the door and shot Fuller, police said.
Fuller was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
