2 brothers shot in dispute with Claremont neighbor
Two brothers were hospitalized in serious condition after being shot late Wednesday in the driveway of their next-door neighbor’s home in Claremont, Catawba County Sheriff Coy Reid said.
Reid said Alijah Daniel Jackson, 32, and Caleb Kavann Jackson, 35, were shot during a dispute with neighbor Joshua Edwards, 28, in the 4500 block of West Bandy Cross Road.
Reid said Edwards was taken before a magistrate at 11:45 p.m. The magistrate found no probable cause for charges against Edwards, Reid said.
The brothers remained in serious condition Thursday morning, the sheriff said.
