Kings Mountain police charging 25 in drug roundup Friday
Kings Mountain authorities said Friday they were charging 25 people Friday morning in connection with an 18-month undercover drug investigation.
The operation, called “Summertime Blues,” resulted in about 90 felony charges, officials said at a news conference. Drugs that turned up included crack cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana and prescription pills including Oxycodone.
Chief Melvin Proctor said that pursuit of people involved in the drug trade is a priority for him. “We will never stop,” he said.
Police said the suspects were street-level dealers.
