Davidson police warn of door-to-door sales
Davidson police are warning residents about an increase in door-to-door solicitations, which are illegal in the town.
If a salesperson knocks on your door, police said, advise the person of the prohibition and call 911 with a description of the person and the person’s direction of travel.
“As our core values state, ‘Davidson must be a safe place to live, work, and raise a family, so the town will work in partnership with the community to prevent crime and protect lives, property, and the public realm,’” Police Chief Jeanne Miller said in a news release. “Also, please do not open your doors to strangers after dark.”
