North Charleston police arrested a man Monday in connection with a dog, named Caitlyn, that was found with black electrical tape around her mouth, as reported by the Post and Courier.
William Leonard Dodson, 41, was charged with ill treatment of animals.
Caitlyn, a stray 15-month-old chocolate Staffordshire, was found in a North Charleston neighborhood with tape wrapped so tightly around her muzzle that her tongue was trapped between her teeth, possibly for as long as two days.
