Police: Man waiting for bus shot multiple times
A man waiting for a bus to take him to work was shot multiple times in the 2400 block of Marlowe Avenue Wednesday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
Marlowe Avenue is off West Morehead Street and Wilkinson Boulevard in west Charlotte.
The shooting happened about 6 a.m., and the victim was able to talk with officers before Medic took him with life-threatening injuries to Carolinas Medical Center, police said.
The victim was later listed in stable condition, police said.
At about 7:30 a.m., a police dog was brought to the site and began searching nearby woods. Police wouldn’t say what they were searching for.
