Police search for suspect in related house break-ins

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of breaking into homes whose owners are of Asian descent and own businesses in the Charlotte area.

The suspect or suspects generally commit the break-ins during the day and possibly canvassed the area before the break-in, police said.

Witnesses have reported seeing a man walking around acting suspiciously in the area of the break-ins. He is described as black, about 6-feet-tall and 170 to 200 pounds.

Anyone with information about the cases or the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
