Teen shot and killed on North Tryon Street late Sunday, CMPD reports

A teen was killed late Sunday in a shooting on North Tryon Street north of uptown, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police

The name and age of the teen have not yet been released and police have not said if they have a suspect.

Investigators say the incident happened shortly before 8:45 p.m. Sunday in 6100 block of North Tryon, near East Arrowhead Drive.

“Officers located a teenage male victim with an apparent gunshot wound, and he was pronounced deceased on scene by MEDIC,” a release said.
