Police search for Jack in the Box robber

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the robber of the Jack in the Box restaurant in the 10000 block of North Tryon Street in the University City area on Sunday.

At about 3:15 p.m., a man entered the store, robbed it at gunpoint and left in an unknown direction, police said.

Police on Tuesday released surveillance photos of the man, who is described as white, about 6-feet-3-inches tall and 230 pounds.

He has dark hair in a short buzz cut and was last seen wearing tan cargo shorts and a black T-shirt with white lettering spelling out the German word “Fuhren.”
