Rowan County man arrested on child porn charges

A Rowan County man was arrested and jailed on child porn charges Tuesday.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said it charged Jonathan Seth Holshouser of the 8500 block of Castor Road after receiving a “cybertip” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The tip was that a man was uploading images to a social media site that contained child pornography, the sheriff’s office said.

Holshouser, 27, was charged with four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He was jailed on $20,000 bail.
