Mooresville area man faces more child sex offense charges

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has filed more child sex offense charges against a Mooresville area man.

Rudolph “Rudy” Anthony Prickler Jr., 45, was originally charged with 12 counts each of first-degree sex offense with a child under 13 and indecent liberties with a child.

Prickler is accused of sexually abusing a girl from October to December in his home on Coddle Creek Highway, Sheriff Darren Campbell said. He was jailed on $200,000 bail.

Prickler now also faces five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, after he was found with child pornography, Campbell said. Prickler was given an additional $400,000 bail.
