Gastonia police need help identifying shooter

Gastonia police said they need the public’s help identifying who shot Albert Eugene McMillen, 34, in the 900 block of Davis Avenue, off North Church Street and Franklin Boulevard early Thursday.

Gastonia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a shooter.

Police said Albert Eugene McMillen, 34, was shot once in the shoulder about 2:15 a.m. Thursday in the the 900 block of Davis Avenue, off North Church Street and Franklin Boulevard.

McMillen was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
