Man killed during argument, shooting at McDonald’s in Charlotte, CMPD says
A man was fatally shot after an argument broke out in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant in south Charlotte on Monday night, police said.
Police on Tuesday identified the man who was killed as 30-year-old Antonio Brimmer.
Officers found Brimmer with a gunshot wound after responding to the McDonald’s on South Boulevard near Arrowood Road just before 8 p.m., according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release. He died at the scene.
It’s not clear from the police department’s statement on the homicide investigation that Brimmer was involved in the altercation. CMPD said in the news release: “The initial investigation determined two armed individuals were involved in an altercation at the establishment. The victim was struck by gunfire.”
Police haven’t said if any charges will be filed.
CMPD asked that anyone with information about the shooting call police Detective Keith Trietley at 704-432-8477 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tips line at 704-334-1600.
