Woman found dead in Charlotte apartment complex on Easter; suspect arrested, police say

Police arrested a man in the murder of a 35-year-old woman found dead in east Charlotte on Easter Sunday.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department quickly identified a suspect in the homicide that left Laura Miller dead at Stone Gate Apartments — a complex at the intersection of Reddman Road and Southwood Oaks Lane, authorities said Monday.

Officers arrested Miguel Gonzalez Rosales, 36, after a traffic stop. He is being charged with murder, desecrating a body and auto theft, according to a CMPD news release.
