After 2 shot in Charlotte, police searching for attempted murder suspect

Police asked the public for help Friday to find a 29-year-old attempted murder suspect wanted in the April 9 shooting of two people in southwest Charlotte.

Dominique Gantt of Charlotte is wanted on charges of attempted murder, discharging a weapon within city limits and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release.

Police haven’t disclosed details of the shooting, which happened just before 11 p.m. in the 1800 block Remount Road. Police also haven’t disclosed conditions of the victims.

According to CMPD, Gantt is 5-feet-6 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds and goes by the street name “Domo Beezy.”

Police urged anyone who knows of Gantt’s whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
