2 people hurt in shooting at Charlotte gas station Monday afternoon

Two men were shot at a gas station on North Tryon Street in Charlotte Monday afternoon, police said.

Officers were investigating the shooting near the 3700 block of North Tryon Street between the NoDa and Sugar Creek neighborhoods, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release.

Both men were in the hospital with injuries that seemed to be non-life threatening, police and paramedics said.

Police did not say what caused the shooting or if a suspect was in custody.
