Police search for Charlotte jewelry store robber

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying this man police said robbed a jewelry business in the 5900 block of Fairview Road at gunpoint Monday.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed a jewelry business in the 5900 block of Fairview Road at gunpoint Monday.

Police have not disclosed the name of the store or what the man stole during the 6:45 p.m. robbery.

The robber is white, in his 40s, about 5-feet-10 inches tall and of muscular build. He has a tattoo on his right wrist and was last seen wearing a fedora, burgundy button-up shirt, jeans and a gray blazer.

Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
