1 dead, 1 injured in east Charlotte shooting near Garinger High School
One man died and another was injured in an east Charlotte shooting Tuesday afternoon, paramedics said.
Police were investigating a homicide on the 3700 block of Audrey Street at 3 p.m., the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The street sits east of Eastway Drive and 0.2 mile away from Garinger High School.
A 14-year-old basketball player from the school was fatally shot last month in his home.
