An infant and “two females” were shot in a Salisbury home, and the shooter remains at large, according to North Carolina investigators.

Identities of the three victims have not been released.

It happened around 10 p.m Wednesday, April, 24, in the 1200 block of South Main Street in Salisbury, about a 40-mile drive north of Charlotte in Rowan County.

Investigators say police were called about an individual with a gunshot wound and discovered multiple victims.

“First responders quickly ... transported one female and the infant to Baptist Hospital with life-threatening injuries and (they) are listed in critical condition,” police said in a news release.

“The second female was transported to Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord with non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.”

Police have not said if there is a suspect. No arrests have been made.

A fourth shooting involving a juvenile was reported earlier in the evening in Salisbury, but police do not believe that incident is related to the triple shooting.

The home where the three victims were found is just across from Chestnut Hill Cemetery, maps show.
