Two bodies found in north Charlotte home, both with gunshot wounds, police say
Two bodies were discovered when Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called to a home near the Ribbonwalk Nature Preserve in north Charlotte, according to a news release.
The dead have been identified as Teresa Anita Polk, 63, and Michael Eugene Ewing Sr., 65, CMPD said in a news release.
The discovery was made around 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at a single family home in the 4000 block of John Dale Lane, CMPD said in a news release. The neighborhood of single-family homes is in the Nevin community north of Interstate 85.
“Upon arrival, officers located two individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The individuals were known to each other,” CMPD said. “Both were pronounced deceased on scene by MEDIC.”
Investigators suspect Polk was shot by Ewing and are listing the case “as cleared” due to his death.
