23-year-old woman fatally shot in southeast Charlotte, CMPD says
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a woman’s death in southeast Charlotte as a homicide, the department said Friday.
Police and MEDIC found Jenyah Kishawne Skyye Wright, 23, dead from a gunshot wound just before 2 a.m. Friday, according to a news release. MEDIC pronounced her dead at the scene.
She died in the 8100 block of Woodway Oak Circle, according to a police press release.
Homicide detectives investigated while other officers processed the scene and collected evidence.
The investigation is ongoing.
