Two injured during home invasion near Mount Holly

Two people were injured during a home invasion Thursday morning near Mount Holly, police said.

One person was shot and another assaulted during the invasion, which occurred at 6:48 a.m. on Stanly Lucia Road, according to Gaston County police. Both people were taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia for treatment.

The suspects, a woman and two men, fled the scene in a charcoal gray sedan, police said.
