Two people have been arrested in connection with a Thursday home invasion near Mount Holly where one person was shot.

Police have charged Alicia Howell Godfrey, 30, and Earl Tieren Jackson, 26, both of Charlotte, with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and breaking and entering. Jackson was also charged with an unrelated felony possession of cocaine charge.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police helped Gaston County detectives find and capture the suspects. By Friday, Godfrey was being held at the Gaston County jail and Jackson was held at the Mecklenburg County jail. They were awaiting bond hearings.

Police said one person was shot and another assaulted during the invasion at 6:48 a.m. on Stanly Lucia Road. Both people were taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia for treatment.

Authorities said the suspects, a woman and two men, fled the scene in a charcoal gray sedan. Jonathan McFadden
