Man accused of using social media to solicit sex from child

Rowan County sheriff’s investigators have arrested a Salisbury man they accused of using a social media website to solicit sex from a 12-year-old.

Mathew Ferrell Church, 30, was charged with felony solicit a child by computer and jailed on $10,000 bail, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday.

The sheriff’s office began investigating the case in July.
