12 arrested in Mooresville drug roundup

In response to recent community complaints, Mooresville police have arrested 12 men and women and charged a 13th suspect on a total of 82 drug counts.

During the roundup of suspects, police said they seized 118.2 grams of marijuana, 31.7 grams of cocaine, 8.3 grams of Ecstasy, 60 dosage units of methadone and $3,875 cash.

The investigation stretched from March to June, police said Friday in announcing the arrests.

Arrested were Mooresville residents:

    Darrell Wellington Caldwell, 50, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Fredrick Jamar Cherry, 25, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and felony aiding and abetting.

    Eric Darnell Frazier, 40, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, maintaining a dwelling for sale of a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Rose Mary Haskell, 52, on charges of trafficking opium, sale and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Lamarell Quntwain Horton, 36, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for sale of a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Chazman Antonio Houston, 28, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule I controlled substance, sale and delivery of a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule I controlled substance.

    Juan Antonio Hunter, 28, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, conspiracy to possess with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Zachary Dominic Laforce, 19, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Christopher Maurice Murphy, 28, on charges of conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule I controlled substance and felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale and delivery of a controlled substance.

    Briana Lashay Overcash, 22, on charges of conspiracy to sell and deliver a schedule I controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle for sale and delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor child abuse.

    Jessica Nicole Simon, 29, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Jeremiah Nathaniel White, 20, on charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for sale and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resist, delay and obstruct a law enforcement officer.

    Also charged was Leonard Parham, 34, who remains at large. He was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park, felony aiding and abetting, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and felony possession of cocaine.
