Police arrested a Virginia Beach man they say blew past two restricted areas at Charlotte Douglas International Airport on Saturday night.

According to Mecklenburg court records, Elijah Pressley, 27, was a passenger inside the airport late Saturday. He walked through two sets of Concourse E doors “clearly marked” with three red signs, police said.

The signs warned that travelers were entering a restricted area and that an alarm would sound if the doors opened. Still, Pressley walked through them and made his way to the neighboring concourse, according to court records, and was arrested near Gate D4 and the runway.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged Pressley with trespassing on airport property at 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

According to court records, his bond was set at $500 early Easter Sunday. Jail records indicate he was still in the Mecklenburg County Detention Center.
