Body identified as that of missing Gaston County woman

A body found Aug. 4 in woods off Hephzibah Church and Anthony Grove roads near Cherryville has been identified as that of Anajanette Nicole Larini, 46, Gaston County police said Tuesday.

Larini was reported missing July 27 from her home in the 300 block of Hephzibah Church Road, police said. She was last seen walking from the home between noon and 2 p.m. that day.

Police said they suspect no foul play but will await the results of toxicology tests.

The N.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the body Monday as that of Larini.
