Four arrested for recent car break-ins

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police on Wednesday charged four a man and three juveniles in connection with a rash of recent car break-ins.

A man called police Wednesday and said he saw a group of four males going through his vehicle and when he saw them, they fled, police said.

Police searched the area and found the group. They had property on them that connected them to recent break-ins in the area, according to police. In each case, police said, the doors of vehicles had been left unlocked.

Police said the suspects were interviewed and then charged with felony conspiracy and larceny from auto. Kenan Peay, 18, is the only adult among the group.

The juvenile defendants were released to their parents, police said.
