Man dies after fatal crash in uptown Charlotte. Someone shot him, police say.

A man with a gunshot wound died at a hospital after a crash at this uptown Charlotte intersection late Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Major Gene Lim said.

A man with a gunshot wound died at a hospital after a crash in uptown Charlotte late Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Major Gene Lim said.

Officers found the man after responding to a collision just before 11 p.m at Seventh Street and North Davidson Street, Lim said.

“Currently, we have our homicide and crime scene units out here actively working the scene,” Lim said in a CMPD video.

He urged anyone with information about the killing to call the CMPD homicide unit at 704-432-8477 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tips line at 704-336-1600.
