Charlotte house fire on Monday was set, city fire department says

An east Charlotte house fire on Monday night was set, according to the city’s fire department.

The fire occurred in the 500 block of Dawn Circle, the Charlotte Fire Department said at 6:31 p.m. on social media.

The fire was controlled in 18 minutes and no one was injured, the department said. The fire caused $35,000 in property damage and loss.

No criminal charges had been reported.
