Teen surrenders Saturday in connection with killings of two men, NC police say

An 18-year-old suspect surrendered early Saturday in connection with a double homicide in Concord, police said.

An 18-year-old suspect surrendered early Saturday in connection with a double homicide in Concord, police said.

Kamari Porter of Concord was the fifth person arrested in the Feb. 1 killings of Monroe residents Michael Overstreet, 22, and Kemauri Blount, 19, in the 1400 block of Fairington Drive NW, police said.

Porter turned himself in around 1 a.m., police said.

Also in custody without bond are Concord residents Brandon Morris Jr., 20, William McDaniel and Damani Marina, both 19, and Davidson resident Devin Griffin, 19, according to the Concord Police Department.
