A 21-year-old man has been accused of setting a fire that caused about $150,000 damage to a warehouse late Monday in the 7200 block of Cherry Tripp Drive, off Village Lake Drive and East Independence Boulevard.
The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force charged Darnell Lawrence Lee of Charlotte with burning a warehouse. Lee was jailed on $10,000 bail.
The fire started about 11:45 p.m. at the Last Pair Inc., a fitness equipment company.
At least 40 firefighters controlled the fire in 33 minutes, Capt. Dennis Gist of the Charlotte Fire Department said. No one was injured.
