Conover woman jailed on heroin trafficking charges

Catawba County sheriff’s investigators arrested a 38-year-old Conover woman Tuesday on heroin trafficking charges after the drug was delivered to an undercover officer.

Misty Nicole Brown was charged with trafficking heroin by possession, trafficking heroin by sale, trafficking heroin by delivery and trafficking heroin by transportation. She was jailed on $95,000 bail.

Brown was arrested at Catawba Valley Community College’s East Campus on U.S. 70 in Hickory.

The arrest followed complaints about drug trafficking in June in the Brandywine apartment complex where Brown lives, investigators said.
