Mooresville man jailed on sex assault charges involving 3 children

A 31-year-old Mooresville man was arrested and charged with taking indecent liberties with three children under age 13, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said Wednesday.

Nathan James Dahlquist was arrested after an investigation into abuse that occurred from Jan. 1 to Aug. 3, the sheriff said.

A forensic interview was conducted with all three children, and Dahlquist was arrested after more interviews with witnesses and further investigation, Campbell said.

Dahlquist was jailed on $50,000 bail.
