Man shot in cheek in Gastonia

A man was shot in the cheek at a gas station parking lot in Gastonia on Sunday night.

The man suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident, which happened around 10:45 p.m. on New Hope Road, according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.

The man’s identity has not been released by the Gastonia Police Department.
