1 dead after shooting in Concord
One man has died after a shooting early Monday in the 300 block of Malvern Drive in Concord.
The victim has been identified as Kenya Romain Venable, 32, of 3061 Rockingham Court SW in Concord.
Officers from the Concord Police Department received a call about gunshots near Malvern Drive and Lincoln Street SW around 4:55 a.m. Monday.
The officers found Venable in the yard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 704-920-5000.
