Video surfaces on the Web depicting fight inside Walmart on Wilkinson Boulevard

A video surfaced on the Web this week depicting a fight that broke out inside a Walmart on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte.

The roughly 2-minute video shows several young men scuffling with at least two members of the store’s security team.

A 14-year-old male was charged with simple assault after a larceny that led to the melee on Sept. 16, police said Thursday.

The fight started when members of the store’s loss prevention team confronted a teenager who tried to steal a $7 shirt, WSOC-TV reported.

The station reported that an anonymous woman’s cellphone video since posted on YouTube depicts the fight.
